Rochester Queer Arts Festival 2025
Share Your Craft — Demonstrations & Hands-On Workshops
Set the festival floor buzzing by showing guests how the magic happens. The Rochester Queer Arts Festival invites makers, crafters, and teaching artists to teach demonstrations and workshops in our dedicated studio classroom. Your two options are:
20-Minute Demonstrations
Capacity: 50 observers
Showcase a quick technique or process while the crowd watches. No tickets, no participant supplies—just pure skill on display. We pay a flat honorarium.
50-Minute Hands-On Workshops
Capacity: up to 20 participants (you set the limit)
Guide attendees step-by-step as they create alongside you. We pay a flat honorarium plus a per-student stipend to cover materials and time.
Bonus: Your honorarium can be applied to your booth fee—teach enough, and you could earn your spot on the show floor for free. Demonstrations and workshops consistently drive traffic to presenters’ booths, so expect a sales bump when students come looking for more of your work.
Safety & Materials
Presenters supply all tools and materials; we reimburse workshops through the per-head stipend. For everyone’s comfort, no open flames or fume-producing processes are permitted.
