2025 Rochester Queer Arts Festival
Showcase & Sell Your Work in the Student Gallery
Calling all Upstate NY high-school and college artists—especially those who identify as LGBTQIA+ or stand proudly as allies! The Festival’s Student Gallery is a welcoming marketplace, not a juried competition. Think of it as a pop-up storefront where you can display your art, share your voice, and keep every penny of each sale.
How to Participate
Submit five representative photos of your work (so we can plan display space and promote you online).
If you’re in high school, upload a brief letter of recommendation from your art teacher.
College students may include a faculty letter if they wish, but it isn’t required.
Complete the short application below by September 15, 2025.
Look for an acceptance email no later than September 20, 2025 with your drop-off time and setup details.
Though space is limited, we will do our best to include as many submissions as possible to fit with our LGBTQIA+-affirming mission, based on our panel’s decision on the salability of the artist’s work, and keeping the gallery as diverse as possible.
What You’ll Exhibit
If accepted, you may bring up to five finished pieces of your choice. You set the prices and receive 100 % of every sale (minus any credit-card processing fees).
Artwork drop-off: Friday, October 10 (evening time slot assigned).
Festival day: Saturday, October 11—we’d love to see you there, but attendance isn’t mandatory.
Pickup: Unsold work must be collected 6–7 PM on festival day.
